My last visit there?
I went back to my driving school today for an orientation course. This is specially designed for graduates to get themselves familarized with the expressways, carparks, and parking without poles etc. Mainly to increase their confidence of cos. HA. Well, i applied for 2 consecutive sessions, that's 3h20mins on the road.
Yeah. 1st time touching the grounds on the expressways, you name it, i went to all today. HA. Orchard road-- i just realised there's super many slopes at orchard area. Gotta apply slope techniques...this comes in handy. Parking without poles? Tell me about it... now i can dun put poles in my boot! haha. Yeah. Parallel parking? Think that's difficult? Try parallel park on a steep slope in between two vehicles, esp when the one in front is a super expensive car. To make things worst, there's HUMP.
I never imagined my first attempt on parallel park in a real carpark to be that challenging... well, thank God no damages incurred. Ha. Oh yeah and thanks to the training from S-course, i managed to go up and down the multi-storey carpark without scratching the sides of my car. ;) Ooh... even i am impressed with myself. haha.
When i first saw my instructor, i was surprised. He was the same person who took me for test warm-up for my last test! The same one who got to know that i passed my test first. But what i really meant to share is this account of the previous instructor who pointed out and analyzed my faults to me. That was the last 2nd revision that i was supposed to have before my test. Only then i knew what went wrong... before him, no body told me that. Sigh. So, actually, i was very very thankful to this instructor. I wanted to thank him personally, but i didn't get to see him on the day when i passed my test. I didn't get to say.
So today, i thought that i could try again. Before i came for the orientation course, i actually wrote him a thank you card, and intended to pass it to the counter if i could not find him eventually. However, i just prayed that God would allow me to see him and say a personal thank You. Indeed, out of 60-80 instructors who always rotate their duties shift, he actually walked past beside me at the right timing! The best thing is, he recoginsed me immediately! We chatted for a while and and i seized the opportunity to give him the card. My aim was really just to encourage him to enjoy his work and of cos, to thank him. I am glad i met this instructor again. Thank God.

Back after a long disappearance...
Yeah i am back. But i dunno what to write. Now in school trying to finish whatever i could, and yah, i decided to take a break. Let me see... what can i write... hmmm
Well, one good news for those who have been reading my complaints and grievances about the repeated failures of my driving test. Haha i finally passed this round, 09092005. Nice number on my licence ah? Ha. Well this time there's no fantastic story of how the tester hung on tightly to the handle on top of the door. haha... jus a simple short 20 min ride. I got my licence! Yah.. i am not afraid to tell others that this is my 4th attempt. Well, the process doesn't matter, what matters most is i got it in the end. :) Ain't i right? Haha... i even heard from a friend who said that those who pass after repeated tries are normally the safer drivers on the road.. haha watch out to see if it's true. HEE.
Honestly, i have been questioning God why i keep failing my tests. I have been too tired and in fact lost my confidence after so many times. It's like more and more weak hearted as you try for another time. HA. Well, I realised that in my life, i have always succeed in alot of things i do. I am relatively academically inclined, never really met with major setbacks. In other areas, i also ok ok lah. Ha. But in the area of driving, i must say that's a thorn in my flesh. I am humbled by it. Yeah, and so i realised. So, the question-- why does God let me fail again n again? There is definitely a purpose... but what? All i can think of right now, is perhaps the experience of failures, the feeling and time when you start to give up hope that i went through that is what i get to keep. Now i can better identify with students who start losing hope after repeated tries, perhaps this is how i can emphatize with them... :)
School has started after the sept hols. Again, it is a hectic schedule of rushing this and that. My colleagues counted that we only have 20 days left to teach, after which will be the exams... woh hoo! haha. yeah... that's the mentality of teachers. Dun think we all look forward to teach everyday loh. We need breaks... HA.
