Hello...
I booked for my 2nd test date alreadi... 14th March. My sis told me that the more people you tell your test date to, the more possible it is that you will fail. HA. Well, but i don't believe in that. HEE. :) But honestly, i am not as excited about the test as i was now... in fact, i am not really looking forward to it. It was quite a mixed feeling. hmmm...
Todae, 22 Jan, my friend's wedding. The couple have been together for 7-8 years, since their poly days. They went through laughter n cries, dating n breakups, seeing them come together really warms my heart. I am happy for them. I pray that God will bless them n bind this marriage in His Love.
For the first time in my life, i had to speak to the congregation in church after pastor's message to the couple. It was a last minute assignment for me to translate pastor's message, but i thank God for preparing my heart somehow and for the peace that transecnds all understanding. I seriously have no idea what i was tokking about, but i hope that by His Grace, people will understand the message. haha.

I will never forget this day
I knew i would be posting this blog either in an excited mood or a lowly mood... well well i guess you can see it's the latter... :) Yes, i failed my first driving test. What saddens me most is not the failure, but the fact that my friend did not ask me how i fared. It would really have been much easier for me...ha. Ok, anyway here's the story to how i failed...
During the warm up session, everything went well... it was the best session i had in fact. Therefore, my confidence level increased. My car was no. 4 n i got test route 5. It was an easy route actually. In the circuit, i first did vertical parking. Next, i did directional change and lo n behold! I strike kerb. Haha. That's 10 points. (for your info it onli takes 20 points to fail) I knew for sure i would fail liao.
SO nvm, i just went ahead thru all the other circuit courses and it was okie. The challenge was on the road. For some unknown reason, the 70km/h road was so super packed with cars behind me such that when i need to change lane to the right for a U-turn, i gabrah gabo. Scared that i would miss the turn, i tried to just cut thru, resulting in a car taking evasive action n the driver staring at me. haha. That was it. I was more assured of my failure. Haha. At that point, I dun care liao... i just anyhow whack, go as fast n as reckless as i could. I didn't really make an effort to slow down at traffic light then... and i had to make an abrupt stop when the light turns red. HAHA you should have seen how the tester flew to the front of the car. :) From then onwards, his left hand was holding on to the handle on top of the window.. because of you know what. hmmm.
Another incident... i was going towards the traffic light when this school boy suddenly run out! good thing he stop in time, or else... who knows what would happen. Ha. Thank God for that. Yah, with all the other minor problems, you can guess how much points i got. A clue for you... I would get an A2 if it's upon 50. haha. Anyway... that's the rough story.
Dunno when's my next test, but i knew i would get the same tester. Sigh, hopefully he has forgotten me by then. Haha. Ok lah dun worrie for me my friends, it's only a matter of time before i pass. Hee hee.
Cheers.

Reflections...
It's been sometime since i last post a blog. Time's been flying really fast, too fast for me to realise what exactly has happened in my life. Hmm... come to think of it, all i can remember of the past months (oct to dec) are either my driving experiences, assignments deadlines, rotting at home and of cos, my thai mission trip...
yeah.. driving test next week... after 3-4months of drilling... hmm... whatever it is, i hope to face it with a smile. :) assignments...? aiyah forget about those unhappy incidents... haha. As for rotting at home, ooh.. that really is wasting my life away. SIgh... glad i ended my 2004 well though. At least the thailand trip puts a meaningful fullstop to the year.
You know, God is really the God of all nations and peoples... despite the language barrier, we are able to worship him in unity and in one voice. The feeling is like, so awesome.. for a moment i thought i was in heaven. haha.
Honestly, when i first heard of the tusnami incident while i was still in thailand, i thought that thailand was the only country affected. Ha. Pardon my ignorance, but i didnt understand what the thai news was tokking abt then. hmm... when i read the newspapers on my way back to Singapore, my heart cried. The numbers that died was like uncountable, and it's definitely still on the rise...
How i wish all those people would have known God earlier, then i'm sure they will be with Him now. Yet, i know this is not true. Could this be a wake up call? At least, for me, it seems to be. All the complains i had, the fights for things that never seems to satisfy... all these doesn't matter anymore in the light of this.
SO what if you have the best enjoyment in life? so what if you always get what you want? So what if you have a hundred and one accomplishments? All these fade away when you disappear from the face of the earth. It does not matter. It does not last. What will last for eternity is the impact you made on the lifes of the people around you. It's about leaving a living legacy behind. Yet this is just the thing that most of us seemed to leave out. People are always the last priority in our lifes, especially those nearest to you. I am guilty of that. I know.
I hope that this year will be a start. To care for the lives around me. I want to live a life worth living.
